PM Kisan is a prominent initiative introduced by the Indian government to provide financial assistance to small and marginal farmers throughout the country. This program has proven beneficial to farmers nationwide, as they have already received 13 installments of guaranteed support directly in their bank accounts. If the necessary e-KYC (electronic Know Your Customer) and land verification processes not completed, the 14th installment may cause delays in its disbursal. It is crucial to note that the deadline for completing the e-KYC is June 15, leaving only one day to fulfill this requirement.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN), the central government provides an annual financial assistance of Rs 6,000 to farmers. The government distributes this amount in three installments and promptly transfers it to the bank accounts of the eligible farmers. It is important to mention that the PM-KISAN support payment grants it to either the husband or the wife. In the case of the 13th installment, the government disbursed it to 8 crore and 2 lakh farmers, resulting in the transfer of a total of Rs 16,800 crore to their bank accounts.
Moreover, the government has made e-KYC mandatory for farmers receiving government aid through the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. To facilitate this process, the Haryana government has launched a program to promote e-KYC among farmers. This initiative has highlighted by the official Twitter account of the Haryana government.
